Missing since April 2023 from Keyprice area at Lancresse. He was only 7 months old when he went missing.
Recovered by Guernsey’s Lost & Found Pets on 23 September 2025.
BUDLEY~REUNITED AFTER TWO AND A HALF YEARS
Young Budley disappeared in April 2023 after a neighbours dog gained entry to his house and chased him around. He has fleetingly visited home several times in the last two and a half years however he has not been able to be retained.
Whilst looking for another cat, Janie spotted Budley rabbiting on Pembroke common. He was approximately half a mile from home and promptly took off like a rocket as soon as he was approached. Although a little scruffy he looked reasonably healthy. There was no evidence that he was being fed or housed so Marianne issued a Lost Cat leaflet drop in the area. Tips were received that Budley was visiting a pretty lady cat whenever she was on heat but it was unknown where he was living most of the time.
There then followed three weeks of morning/evenings sat in a car watching various areas and manually searching gardens and fields before Janie eventually found Budleys “nest” in a well hidden discarded shed. The property owner had never seen Budley before so he had really mastered the art of hiding!
This afternoon, Budley has finally been secured and is now with Sue who will ensure that this escape~artist can finally be vaccinated and neutered before going home. His delighted owners are desperate to give him lots of love and cuddles again and he will be kept inside for some time to re~learn that home is warm and safe
