💗 TEDDY FOUND ~ AFTER EIGHT YEARS AND FOUR MONTHS 💗
A couple of months ago, a cat started to visit a family and they suspected that he might be a stray. They reached out to their neighbours, and unable to find an owner, they made a post on social media which was picked up by Guernsey’s Lost & Found Pets.
Janie visited the property and the cat was scanned. On checking the microchip we were totally shocked to find this was Teddy, who wasn’t very far from his old home, and had been missing since 13 April 2017.
Marianne has been in contact with Teddy’s owner, who now lives in the UK, but thankfully had the foresight to keep Teddys details updated. She was very shocked, but also delighted to hear that Teddy was alive and well. She would have loved to have Teddy back, and there were discussions to have Teddy shipped to the UK, but this could also have proved very stressful for Teddy too. In the end it was decided that Teddy had chosen his ‘new’ family who are over the moon at being able to adopt him officially.
Guernsey’s Lost & Found Pets will be organising a health check for Teddy in the coming week.
